Grand Palace Championship semifinalists in singles and finalists in doubles were determined

On Friday March 5 the semifinalists in singles of the international professional tennis tournament Grand Palace Championship Challenger 50 series with a prize fund of $ 36,680 were defined on courts of Formula Tennisa in Lahta. Turkish player Altug Celikbilek defeated Dutch player Jesper de Jong 7/6, (7), 6/0 and now will compete for a place in the final against Russian Artem Dubrievny who won the Russian Derby against Andrey Kuznetsov. The score was 6/3, 6/7 (8), 6/3 in favor of Dubrivniy.

 

Meanwhile Vit Kopriva of the Czech Republic overcame Sem Ilkel of Turkey (7/5, 6/2) and will compete in the semifinals against Belgian qualifier Zizu Bergs who defeated Lukas Katarinu of Montenegro 6/3, 6/4.

 

In doubles the finalists were determined. Top seeded Dutch pair Jesper de Jong and Sem Verbeek beat Alessandro Bega (Italy)-Scaner Mansouri (Tunisia) 6/2, 6/3. Now the Dutch pair will fight for the title with the second seeded pair – American Christopher Eubanks and his partner from Ecuador Roberto Quiroz who managed to defeat the international duo of Alexey Vatutin (Russia)-Benjamin Hassan (Germany) with 6/4, 6/2.
